Jerusalem’s Amazing Race
The Main Event is pleased to present its newest and most unique event - Jerusalem’s Amazing Race.
The Main Event team have hidden a treasure chest, full of valuable prizes, somewhere in Jerusalem. You are invited to get together a group of up to 5 people, with a car, to embark on Jerusalem’s biggest ever treasure hunt – Jerusalem’s Amazing Race.
You will be given a number of fun and mysterious clues, puzzles and challenges to try to crack, which will help you to be the first to find the treasure chest and claim the prizes inside!
At the end of the competition, everyone will come together at a secret Jerusalem location for a huge end of summer BBQ lunch!
What is Jerusalem’s Amazing Race?
The goal of Jerusalem’s Amazing Race is to be the first team to solve a series of puzzles, challenges and clues that lead to the treasure chest that has been hidden somewhere in Jerusalem.
Clues will lead teams to destinations all over Jerusalem. All teams will therefore need to have a car.
To ensure that Jerusalem’s Amazing Race runs enjoyably and fairly for everyone, there are a few guidelines and rules:
Don’t jump to conclusions!
At first glance, some clues may appear to have more than one answer. Don’t assume that you have the correct one immediately as a careless mistake could cost you vital minutes in the race for the treasure. It is more likely that the team that takes the most care will win, rather than the team that moves the quickest.
Stay together!
You may not separate, split up, or leave players behind.This means that everyone on your team must be at the same location, and must stay within sight and earshot of one another at all times. Half of your team cannot go around the block, and one or two players cannot run ahead of their teammates. This rule will be strictly enforced, and teams violating it will face penalties!
Have fun!
Whilst there are certainly some great prizes to be won, the most important thing is for everyone to enjoy the race within the fun and friendly spirit of the day. Any actions that are deemed to be against the spirit of the day will also face strict penalties!
The treasure hunt will last around 2 hours and will be followed by a big communal BBQ where everyone can mingle and share stories from the day.
Will the BBQ be kosher?
Yes. All of the meat and other food at the BBQ will be kosher. There will be no dairy products at the event. All of the barbecues will be brand new (never used before) and all of the cutlery and crockery will be new and disposable.
