 The Main Event's first Jerusalem Speed Dating event took place on Tuesday 27th March 2007 in the bar area of The Little House in Baka.
The evening was aimed at 24-34 year old singles and was a complete sell-out, with 16 girls and 16 guys participating.
Registration began at 7.30pm and as participants arrived they were greeted with a complimentary glass of wine, a personalised badge and their Speeding Ticket, on which to make notes on their forthcoming dates. They were then ushered to the bar area to mingle with others and await the beginning of the Speed Dating experience.
At 8pm, "The Main Event" began. Participants were seated at tables for two, according to their badge numbers, and embarked on the first of their 16 4-minute dates. The beautiful layout of the room helped to create a comfortable environment for people to chat, relax and get to know each other.
 After 4 minutes, a bell was sounded and, whilst the girls stayed seated, each of the guys moved round to the next table to begin the second date. This continued until everyone had met eight new people, when the bell sounded to announce the half-time interval: a chance to take a break and visit the bar. Just before the break began, a surprise prize draw was made, in which two lucky Speed Daters won a voucher for a complimentary massage, courtesy of our event sponsor, Jerusalem Massage (www.jerusalemmassage.com).
After the break, participants returned for a further eight 4-minute dates until everyone had met each other. Following the final date, everyone was given a Speed Dating Results Sheet on which to mark their choices of which people they would like to meet again.
 After submitting their choices, many people remained in the bar area late into the evening, socialising with friends, old and new.
The night was a huge success, there was a great vibe and everyone enjoyed a unique evening out.
